Warranty, Returns, Payment & Delivery Terms

1. Warranty Declaration

At Digger Tools Direct, we stand behind the quality and reliability of our products. We offer a limited 12-month warranty from the date of invoice on all excavator attachments, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal and appropriate usage.

This warranty ensures that any attachment found to be faulty due to manufacturing or design defects will be repaired or replaced free of charge, subject to the terms and conditions outlined in this policy. Warranty claims must be submitted in accordance with our claim procedure and are subject to our inspection and approval.

This warranty is provided in addition to any rights and remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

2. Warranty Coverage Details

This warranty covers:

  • Structural cracking or bending during normal operation

  • Welding and fabrication defects

  • Hydraulic failures due to internal faults

  • Faulty factory-installed components

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear parts (e.g., teeth, cutting edges, side cutters)

  • Damage from misuse or overloading

  • Unauthorised repairs or alterations

  • Incorrect pressure or flow applied to hydraulic components

  • Attachments used outside intended applications

Liability is limited to the cost of repair or replacement.

3. Warranty Claim Procedure

  • Notify us within 24 hours of discovering the issue

  • Provide supporting materials:

    • Clear photos (serial plate, full attachment, worksite, defect close-ups)

    • Purchase invoice

    • Description of usage and incident

  • Return item if requested

  • Await inspection and approval

Note: No unauthorised repairs are allowed—doing so will void the warranty.

4. Warranty Exclusions and Limitations

This warranty does not cover:

  • Wear and tear or cosmetic damage

  • Improper usage or installation

  • Custom designs returned for personal preference

  • Unapproved third-party repairs

  • Failures from incorrect setup (e.g., flow/pressure mismatch)

No liability is accepted for:

  • Loss of income, delays, or indirect damages

  • Costs incurred without prior approval

  • Equipment compatibility outside our control

5. Return & Refund Policy

Returns are accepted for:

  • Faulty items due to manufacturing defects

  • Incorrectly supplied products

  • Unused stock items returned within 14 days (with approval)

Returns are not accepted for:

  • Custom-made or used items

  • Items returned without authorisation

Returns Process:

  1. Request return authorisation

  2. Provide details and images

  3. Return item (freight pre-paid unless otherwise agreed)

  4. Inspection and resolution: refund, replacement, or store credit

6. Payment Terms

Accepted payment methods:

  • Bank transfer

  • Credit/debit cards

  • PayPal (if offered)

  • Trade account (subject to approval)

Standard terms:

  • Payment in full before dispatch (unless on trade account)

  • Trade accounts: 14–30 days from invoice date

  • Prices exclude GST unless stated

Late payments may incur interest and delivery delays. Deposits may be required for custom orders.

7. Delivery & Shipping Terms

We ship Australia-wide (or internationally, if applicable) via trusted freight partners.

Dispatch time:

  • Stock items: 1–3 business days post-payment

  • Custom orders: lead time advised upon order

Freight:

  • F.O.B. dispatch location unless stated otherwise

  • Buyer typically responsible for freight cost

  • Tracking details provided when available

Conditions:

  • Buyer must receive and inspect delivery

  • Report issues within 24 hours

  • Additional fees may apply for missed deliveries or re-dispatches
